The tour begins from the meeting point ( either from your accommodation or from anywhere you wish). First, we will be visiting the Corinth Canal where you can walk along the bridge and take pictures. Then, we will be visiting the Archaeological site of Mycenae with the Palace, the acropolis and the burial ruins dating back to the 12th century BC approximately. The next stop is Epidavros and more specifically the Temple of Asclepius (the God of Medicine). The temple was dedicated to Apollo’s son ( Apollo was one of the 12 Olympic Gods), God of Music, of light and of the Arts). The ancient theatre of Asclepius in Epidavros word-renowned for its excellent acoustics was built in 340 BC. Nafplio will be our last stop. It was the first capital of the newly established Greek state. We will be visiting the fortress Palamidi (accessible by car or on foot for those bold enough to ascend 1000 steps in the winding stair from the town to the fortress. The fortress commands an impressive view over the whole city. You can stroll the scenic alleys of Nafplio, sample food or coffee at the local taverns and cafés before we get back to your accommodation.
